NEW ICP SPECTROSCOPY TOOLBOXFOR USE WITH TELEDYNE LEEMAN LABS PRODIGY ICP
Hudson, NH - March, 2005 – Teledyne Leeman Labs, a leading manufacturer of analytical instrumentation for elemental analysis, has announced a new set of analytical tools for use with its Prodigy ICP. Prodigy allows the user to capture a snapshot of the full ICP spectrum from 160 to 900 nm. With Leeman’s new ICP spectroscopy toolbox the user can perform functions such as spectral additions and/or spectral subtractions which are particularly useful in forensic and quality control applications (e.g. in comparing a known sample to one of unknown quality and looking for the residual differences). Other features include a variety of spectral identifiers which allow the user to perform tasks such as identify unknown emission lines, superimposing the spectra from an element on an unknown spectrum and determining the emission intensity of any emission line in the spectrum.
