FuelPro - Biofuel Metal Analyzer

As a result of the world’s ever increasing demand for energy, as well as its growing concern over the impact of greenhouse gases, countries around the globe are turning to biofuels as part of the solution to today’s energy challenges.

Biofuels, such as ethanol and biodiesel, are renewable fuels produced from crops as well as waste materials like used cooking oils. In the case of ethanol, feedstocks include corn, sugar cane and other cellulose materials. For biodiesel, feedstocks include: soy, canola, mustard, sunflower, coconut, palm and cottonseed oil as well as beef tallow and fish oils. Blends of biodiesel with conventional petroleum diesel represent a common use of biodiesel. One such blend, “B20” (a blend of 20% biodiesel and 80% petroleum diesel) is now widely recognized as an alternative diesel fuel.
